Casio’s latest offering EQW-500DBE-1AVER is based on new cutting edge Wave Ceptor technology. Like any other Wave Ceptor watch, the EQW-500DBE-1AVER is capable of picking up signals from radio transmitters present in US, Japan and in parts of Europe. This technology is a boon for people residing in Europe, Japan and US as it reads the signals sent by radio transmitters and automatically updates the time according to DST.
Other than the Wave Ceptor technology, it is capable of displaying current time in major cities across the globe. It features daily alarm, 1/100 sec stopwatch, auto LED light with afterglow, date display and is water resistant for upto 100 Mts. This watch has been called by few as the Iron Man Watch due its color combination of red, white and blue. It will supposedly be priced around $500 mark and will be available soon.

The watch seems good, but i am not sure how much will it be successful in other parts of the world apart from where it can catch radio waves. Hope it doesn’t catch the eye of the defence guys and interfere with their radio channels.
