Manufactured, assembled and tested in Bienne, Switzerland, the BIFORMETER from Linde Werdelin comes in two versions called the Elemental and the Two-Timer. Already launched in a special edition, the highly acclaimed BIFORMETER is owned by a very select group of people. Named the Founders Watch, each one individually made for its owner, with the ‘Founders Watch’ inscribed on the dial and has its own limited edition number engraved on the back. Only two hundred and twenty-two LINDE WERDELIN Founders Watches were produced. Each watch has a personalized LINDE WERDELIN oscillating weight, a 42-hour power reserve, and a calendar at 4 o’clock. The BIFORMETER watch uses the highest quality components and all the parts are entirely original, designed especially for the BIFORMETER by LINDE WERDELIN. The base of the BIFORMETER is a finely crafted traditional analog watch with the optional computer module which sits onto the face. The chronometer, compass, altimeter and barometer function digitally of via the LCD screen on the module. It apparently even has built-in WiFi for downloading data from external sensors. The BIFORMETER is available in both single (Elemental) and dual time zone (Two Timer) models. Elemental uses an ETA 2892-2 elaboree mechanical movement while the Two Timer, made for the active traveler, uses a similarly high quality ETA 2893-2 elaboree mechanical movement. The BIFORMETER Two Timer is also delivered in two different gold models: the first is entirely in 18ct yellow gold while the second model comes in 18 ct yellow gold with an aluminum bezel – in either black or red – with a matching dial and aluminum back case covering. Every BIFORMETER is rigorously tested to ensure shock resistance, accuracy and reliability. All BIFORMETER wristwatches are pressure-tested and guaranteed waterproof to 1,000 feet/300 meters and are fitted with sapphire crystal. The steel cases are made from high quality 316L stainless steel and fitted with a unidirectional bezel suitable for dive timing, a screw-on back case matched to the color of the dial – and a screw-in crown for optimal water resistance. The steel version of the BIFORMETER is available for about $3,400 with the gold version costing approx. $7,300. The computer module is optional and costs an additional $1,200.
